Black Comic Book Publishers

I want to help and financial autonomy to publish the cartoon, my friend, how could I do?
He wrote a brilliant history earlier this year, is expected to be present as part of a collection of stories and I think it should be available, but do not know how or how much it would cost. I know this can be done because I was attracted to London shops, independent comic books saw print in black and white, but how they do it? Is there a company to go by or I can get the services an artist and editor of myself? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Start here: http://www.hoboes.com/html/Comics/Creators/Legacy/ or talk with this author: http://www.chestercomix.com/ publishes his own educational comics, and are professionally done. Email him and can give a overview. The most serious cases, ask these guys: http://www.publishondemand.net/ publish books, do not know the comic. Given what you describe, may be published on the web, as a series. If the story is as good as you say, then you really can build a fan base that way. Sorry I have no more concrete. I'd love to know how it goes, because I have several ideas of my own comics. Distribution and marketing is the real challenge (I know, we have a game table)
